The Biden White House May Be Moving To Force Full FDA Vaccine Approval

In an editorial at LifeSiteNews, Jordan Schachtel writes that the Biden administration lays the groundwork for forcing a political decision on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue full approval of existing COVID-19 vaccines. Obtaining the FDA’s support would provide the White House with additional leverage to pressure Americans into taking the vaccine shots.

The administration is signaling its intention to compel the approval without any real consideration of safety and efficacy concerns.

President Biden made a typically hard-to-understand reference to full approval at a town hall appearance on CNN, stating: “Whether or not we should be in a position where you are, why can’t the experts say we know that this virus is, in fact, it’s going to be or excuse we know why all the drugs approved or not temporarily but permanently approved, that’s underway too.”

A full FDA authorization would allow the administration to forego the existing regulatory provisions that apply to drugs permitted under an emergency use authorization. Biden might move to compel federal regulations under full vaccine approval, including vaccine passports and compulsory vaccine injections and PPE use.

NBC News published an article on July 20 that helped the administration state that the intention was to make things much more difficult for Americans who have chosen not to be vaccinated.

The article provides, “The official regulatory sign-off would remove a significant legal and public relations barrier for businesses and government agencies that want to require vaccinations for their employees and customers, former health officials from the Biden and the Obama administrations said.”

A former Biden administration official also told NBC News, “I think once the vaccines go through full FDA approval, everything should be on the table, and I think that everything will be on the table at the level of municipalities, states, employers, venues, government agencies.”

As a subordinate agency to the Department of Health and Human Services, the FDA answers the president. Historically, presidential administrations and well-heeled pharmaceutical companies have regularly manipulated the FDA during the drug approval process.

The strong reputation of an FDA full drug approval among most Americans would give the Biden administration a powerful tool in its political quest to compel more COVID vaccinations among the general population. The key to understanding the coming approval process is to remember that the FDA is another government bureaucracy whose clients are not ordinary Americans but government officials and high-powered Big Pharma executives.
